Fidelity. For courage and for leadership...salt covenants and prayer (7 days)

It’s been a full week of praying.  My prayers for my husband yesterday and today are for his courage and leadership.  He’s the captain of this ship.  Whether the waters are smooth or choppy, I trust God, and I trust him. Trust is the foundation of a successful relationship. 

Relationships ebb and flow, like tides.  There are natural rhythms within them, and over the course of a relationship stretching 37 years since the day we met, I’ve learned to love each part. I welcome the evolution of our love story, even when it's hard.   

I have loved this man so long. The love we feel today is entirely different than that I felt the first time I expressed my love for him, and different still from the love I felt on the day we wed.  They’re all good.  They’re all still here, in different measures. And I’m still embracing the notion of new loves to come, from my one and only...
