They said to one another, “Here comes this dreamer. Come now, let us kill him and throw him into one of the pits. Then we will say that a fierce animal has devoured him, and we will see what will become of his dreams.”
Genesis 37:19-20 (ESV)
Day 1 of 31-
Confess my dream and marrying it to my will to pursue it.
Day 2 of 31-
Pray about it, and be still.
Day 3 of 31-
What I heard in the quiet…
Day 4 of 31
We will see what will become of this dream…
|Joseph had brothers ready to slay him;|
my sisters stand ready to pray,
nurture, and help midwife our
dreams from conception to reality.
Meditating, praying, musing about what to write today, it came together suddenly. Dreams and dreamers aren’t popular. Dreams challenge the status quo, speak truth to power, make plain what had been obscured, and take off the chains while setting minds and hearts free. Joseph was a dreamer and nobody liked him.
Joseph was the favored son, and his brother’s did not appreciate him and his dreams at all. In fact, it was his own brothers who laid in wait for him and plotted his defeat. We’ve all got dreams, my dream-teamers and I, at least 99 of them. But where Joseph had brothers ready to slay him, I’ve got all my sisters with me. I’m just met the dream team.
I do not yet know these women, but they are mi familia. I already feel protective of them, and I know they’ve got my back. Where Joseph had brothers ready to slay him, my sisters stand ready to pray for my dream, nurture my dream, help midwife it from conception to reality.
I cannot believe the expanse of this blessing, but I am ready to explore it. Lord, I know You are in control, You’ve sent these angels my way, and we’re about to take the ride of our lives. Oh yeah, this is evidence that God is good.
On Tuesdays, I pray and and play with friends here...
