The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him.
Psalm 28:7 (NIV)
You brought me through another day, and in a way I have not been, I am grateful. I can practice gratitude. Thank You for the lessons I learned in this day. May they cast long and loving shadows over my life.
Thank You for blessing me to be unafraid of who I am; who I am in You. Thank You for loving me enough to forgive my faults in advance, knowing there is more good in me, knowing because it is You who placed it there. Thank You for Grace (enough said).
Thank You for making all of what might have seemed impossible this morning just another day, though, in looking back, I can acknowledge that it was my surrender and my faith in You that carried me from sunrise to sunset. Thank You for Your Steadfastness. Thank You for being my Ever Present Help.
Thank You for letting me tell my beloved how much I love him today. Please, Lord, don't let me take my blessings for granted. Life is a gift; family is a treasure; my cup runneth over. Thank You for opening my eyes and closing my mouth, except to offer thanks and praise. In a way I have not been, I am grateful. I will practice gratitude. Thank You for the lessons I learned in this day.
I am tired, and have a clean, safe, and warm place to lay my head tonight. For those whose lives and safety have been compromised, grant them ease. Let me never take Your Goodness in my life for granted. I am grateful. I will practice gratitude.
Finally, with all that I am, I declare that You are firmly in control, and for that I am grateful. Your Ways are not my ways. Your Plans are not my plan; Yours are Infinitely Greater and Larger than my imagining. Therefore, I place my trust in You.
You brought me through another day, and in a way I will practice going forward, I am grateful. All my days are good because You are my strength and my shield and I place my trust in You.
I will rest the temple that it might be a fitting place for You to Dwell when the day is new. And with that, I take my rest.
In Jesus name, let it be so.
On Wednesdays, I pray and and play with friends here...
