Welcome.

Happy day, it’s Five Minute Friday!
1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking (it’s way harder than it sounds)
2. Link back
here and invite others to join in.
3. Visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments.
OK, are you ready? Come on and join the fun!

Therefore welcome one another, just as the Christ also welcomed us, with glory to God in view.
Romans 15:7 (NWT)

GO:
Welcome.

I have been welcomed. Not too long ago, I swan-dived off of yet another cliff to join DaySpring as an (in)courager. What was I thinking? What could I offer? I love to write, I try to take a positive approach to life, but attempting to lead? Seriously?

Why did I dare? Because I have been Welcomed. A while ago, I joined Lisa Jo’s merry band of writers in Five Minute Fridays.  It was scary, but immediately, I felt welcome. After writing regularly, and missing my family when I didn’t participate, I was emboldened. It got easier. They were my family. They got me. We formed relationship.

We walk alone. We have families, friends, worship participants, colleagues, all manner of communities to which we attach ourselves. How then are we welcomed, how do we go about making others feel so?

We follow The Word. We open ourselves up. We surrender, as Christ opened Himself to us, and then we are, we find, Home.

STOP:
Five minutes is hard, but discipline is good.  Like God (is good.)

On Fridays, I pray and play with LisaJo and Laura, and the Christian Mommy Bloggers
