Simple pleasures (happy day...I am growing)

Commit your way to the Lord;
    trust in him and he will do this
:
 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
    your vindication like the noonday sun.
Psalms 37:5-6 (NIV)

I feel myself growing. I feel myself getting better, stronger, quieter. As I draw closer to You, Lord, my perspective changes. The world did not change, well, it has (it does constantly), but the powerful change is the one inside me. I am learning to slip into the silences where You are, quieting my head and my heart, so I can be still. When I am still, You move. I am going Your Way.

And now I am off to
live my happy day. Surrendered.
Breathing in the quiet.
I am again assured that God is good.
According to a Buddhist proverb, if you are facing in the right direction, all you need to do is keep walking. I am starting to understand, Lord. You are my point of orientation, my magnetic North. Once I commit to surrender, I’m walking towards You.

Today is already a beautiful day. We have plans to do fun things as a family with friends, the sun is shining; we are well. I am committing my way to You, and letting the rest unfold. I have done my part. I am enfolding myself in Your midst.

“…there is a river. God is in her midst. She shall not be moved. She shall not fall. I want to go there. I want to abide there. By Your Grace, Lord, it shall be done, Selah and Amen.”

And now I am off to live my happy day.  Surrendered.  Breathing in the quiet. I am again assured that God is good.

Postscript…My day is done. I was right. It was happy. I surrendered. God is good.
