Walk this way…

Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to the law of the LORD.

Blessed are those who keep his statutes
and seek him with all their heart
Psalms 119:1-2 (NIV)

Today is my FILs birthday. Just this week my husband mentioned that he’d thanked his dad for the gift of faith.   I know for certain that my FIL never sat my husband down to say “pray like this,” “study the Word as I do,”  “here is how you perform your daily devotions.” Nope. My FIL is a quiet man.  Watching their fathers, both my FIL and my husband learned to walk this way.
the next generation, learning to walk this way...

My husband is a visual learner.  He reads, observes.  On this 5th day of praying for him, I beseech God that my husband would continue to seek God daily, walking in the Spirit with ever increasing devotion.  (As should we all.)

And with that, I begin my day.  We’re celebrating with my husband’s parents tonight, have a birthday party to attend for a friend on Sunday afternoon, and then a family dinner.  A weekend filled with blessings-my cup runneth over.  Another reminder that God is good.
