He
who walks with wise men will be wise,
But the companion of fools will be destroyed.
But the companion of fools will be destroyed.
A
good man leaves
an inheritance to his children’s children,
But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.
But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.
Proverbs
13:20, 22
Three weeks tomorrow of sacrificial praying for my husband…I might just
have a future as an intercessor….this experience has been such a blessing to
me. Today’s charge--that my beloved be
kept safe from “strange women and evil men.” We’ve been laughing about THAT one
ALL day.

I hadn’t fried my swordfish when
I posted yesterday''s blog, so here it is.
Yes, it was marvelous. Recipe to
follow.

My husband keeps wise counsel.
It’s who he is. He is the one to
whom friends go for sober, thoughtful guidance, and he gets as good as he
gives. His children have inherited from
him; even at their tender ages, they seem to be shaping up to be the sages in
their social groups. I think it’s a
legacy inherited on both sides….we seem to be the advice people, more so
because we listen more than we talk…but there is also wisdom in silence….kind
of a ministry of listening.
Lord, I thank You for the company of wise counsel with which You’ve covered
my husband (and us all) throughout our lives…diverse communities of faith that
enriched and enfolded us; delivering us daily from evil. Keep him (and us) forever in Your Path, we
pray.
And by the way, I’m probably the strangest woman my husband knows…and
that’s got to be proof that God is good.

I love this because I am also probably the strangest woman my husband knows - at least that what he always says!
