He loves me…

May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. A loving doe, a graceful dear- may her breasts satisfy you always, my you ever be captivated by her love.
Proverbs 5:18-19 (NIV)

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love1 John 4
:8 (NIV)

On day 6, it is my prayer that my husband would be ever captivated by my love.  We are fortunate.  Not only was he my first love, he is my love still.  I could try articulating it, but is is so much better done by poet and performer Jill Scott, in writing a song for husband Lyzel Williams.  Love like this is evidence that God is good.

Lyzel in E flat, music and lyrics by Jill Scott

You love me especially different every time
You keep me on my feet happily excited
By your cologne, your hands, your smile, your intelligence
You woo me, you court me, you tease me, you please me
school me, give me some things to think about
Ignite me, you invite me, you co-write me, you love me, you like me
You incite me to chorus…
You're different and special
You're different and special in every way imaginable
You love me from my hair follicles to my toenails
You got me feeling like the breeze, easy and free and lovely and new
Oh when you touch me I just can't control it
When you touch me, I just can't hold it
The emotion inside of me, I can feel it

Thank you. It's nice to be noticed.
